how to treat microcytosis

hi, my mom is a 42 year old woman who is propense to diabetes, doesnt follow a strict diet has lost 3kg and sometimes feels nauseous while eating, she was recently diagnosed with microcytosis how can she be trated? (she drinks little water and eats very little)

Microcytosis is small red blood cells that is caused mainly by iron deficiency anemia, however, other anemias can cause it. Suggest the Doctor finds out which anemia she has and treat it with supplements and/or diet. Thank you for your question.
