Is my occassional elbow pain a bigger problem?

About 2 years ago I fell hard on the same elbow twice within a month. I never lost movement, but since then a particular spot on that elbow has been somewhat painful. During the falls, pain was never acute. I could get up and continue what I was doing without thinking of it.

Occasionally, a very particular spot at a very certain angle on that elbow will hurt but I won't feel it for months at a time. Only occasionally when I lean on my desk will I realize it's still there. It can be difficult to duplicate, but I can cause the pain with my finger if I put pressure on the right spot.

I never saw a doctor because I assumed it was a bruise or maybe small fracture that would heal with time and didn't need medical attention. Is this something I should look into?

It's also possible it's a small chip off the bone.  Or a lingering undefineable sore spot.  Only way to know for sure is X-rays for bone and MRI for connective tissue, if it's important enough to you to see an orthopod.

Sometimes something like that can be an inflamed tendon. The longer it stays inflamed, the longer the issue will persist.  If you can take it, ibuprofen is smart to take when you have pain to try to cease the inflammation.  And at your next well check doctors appointment or make one specifically for this, talk to them about this.
