Seeking Advice on Dupuytren's Contracture Recurrence and Treatment Options

Hello everyone,

Three years ago, I was treated for Dupuytren's contracture in my left hand, specifically affecting the 4th and 5th fingers, using XIAPEX injections. Unfortunately, the contracture has returned after two years. I've consulted with two of the top specialists in this field and received different recommendations:

Doctor 1 suggests opting for a traditional surgery to address the issue once and for all, stating that another injection would not be effective and would not provide a lasting solution.
Doctor 2 recommends trying another round of injections before considering surgery, to see if it prevents recurrence this time.
I'm torn between these options and would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you might share regarding:

The risks associated with surgery compared to injections.
The likelihood of recurrence after either treatment.
Recovery times for both procedures.
Any potential long-term effects, such as scarring from surgery.
Has anyone here faced a similar decision? What was your experience and what did you choose to do?

Thank you in advance for your help!
