Someone please help

I posted before that I was worried about having Ovarian Cancer. Im 20 years old and for the past 3 months have been having pelvic pain that ranges from a 3 to a 10. I went to the ER and they found through a pelvic exam I had a cyst. I later went to the GYN and was scheduled for a transvagional US. I went for that about 2 weeks later and it showed I had fluid in my pelvic crease and was told it was caused by my ruptured cyst. I am still having pain, its not so much in and around my ovaries but more in my upper pelvic, back, thighs, butt areas. Yesterday I noticed a brownish discharge. I didnt have it at all today until about 5 min ago. I am really worried and very concerned. My doctor seems to think since the US showed nothing to be concerned about I am fine. I am freaked and I keep coming back to the thought that its ovarian cancer.

The other girls are right. The best thing for you to do is to schedule an appointment with your Dr so you can sit down with him, express your fears and ask for some answers. Since a cyst was found, that is probably all that it is. But if you cannot get past the fear that it is cancer, then you need to take action to put those fears to rest. If your Dr still says it is nothing, tell him why you think the way you do and ask him to prove to you that it is not cancer.
Hopefully everything will be just fine. I wish you the best.

I would demand a CT of the "abdomen and pelvis, with and without contrast" ... hopefully, it will answer all your questions.

My MD listened to me when I asked.  At your age, it is probably just the cyst.

Good Luck and God Bless,

Judy

I am sorry that you are going through so much and not quite getting answers. Did your doctor check for endometriosis, that can cause alot of pain also.  I would call your gyn back and schedule an appt to talk to her in person. It would seem doubtful that you have cancer from these symptoms and your age, but only a doctor can tell you that. So make that appointment and get some answers!
