Ovarian Pain

Hi! I am 49 years of age and have for about long already pain on my left ovary each time I ovulate. This pain is persistent and I also get menstual cramps pain. Now, my doctor wants to do a Laprascopy to see what is going on. I am very nervous about this. Could this be that I have an ovarian cyst or cancer??

I sooooo agree with Jcrow. You need more tests before any surgery. Any ONE of those tests recommended by Jcrow should help you and your doctor know what you are dealing with. If one doesn't give you answers, go to the next one. Good Luck!!!!!!

Hugs,
Shari

Have you had an ultrasound, ct scan or mri?  I'm surprised your doc wants to start right off with surgery???
