Jan,
I just saw this post and I hope that all went well for you today. I also hope that this is the combo that will work.
I jotted it down but do not think that I will ever be able to use it due to the reaction I had to carbo and the fact that I already had doxil. But I will still mention it. Something has to work for us. I am on #6 with no remission. All we can do is hope that we have yet to find just that one drug that will kick this in the *ss.
Flicka, I am pleased to meet you. Your sister is a wonderful person, so I am sure that you are too. Take good care of her!
Love Chris
Jan - thinking about you and hoping this chemo works well for you..you are a truly remarkable woman who I Truly admire.....Love, Gia
My prayers are with you, too. I overlooked what you wrote to me earlier and hope this Chemo combo will do you right. Take really good care of yourself for the next few days. Hopefully, you'll see the rest of these comments when you are feeling good, and not puking (just needed to throw in some comic relief.) Love, Angie
I will be praying hard too for you. My love and thoughts are with you today...
Love and peace...Kim
Oh my goodness, Jan! I didn't even see this post! So sorry! I hope it goes well today. I will most definitely pray for you. Love
Jan .. Good luck and God Bless this new treatment with a miracle. I hope you finally get the break you so deserve. I'll be praying for you along with the others. Judy
Like Bohan, I wish I could be there with you during treatment. I pray you get great results. I want this to be the one that gives you the NED remission. Love, Marie
Thanks for posting this link. It is VERY encouraging! Oh, sweet lady, let's have these drugs work for you, OK? You deserve a break from all of this.
Please, please, keep us posted about how you're doing. It will encourage and educate us when/if we are facing a recurrence, too.
You're in my prayers.

Jan, my thoughts and prayers are with you today as you chart some new and hopefully very successfully ground with this chemo. I love ya! Trudie
I will keep you in prayer that this new chemo combo will work. Please keep us updated..as this will soon be the treatments that I will be having....we have done alot of single agents and are reaching the bottom of the best ones to use..so it makes sense to start looking at combos for me. (((hugz)))~~~Joanne
Thank you all so much. You know that I could not do this without all of you. Deandra, I hope you are doing okay these days. Alan, you are a doll for continuing your support for our neighborhood. Sharon, it would be kind of nice to have someone with me, but the chemo room only has 16 recliners so there isn't room. Golfgal, what is your name? I am sorry I don't know it, and if you don't use it on here that is fine, I just thought I might have missed it.
Flicka, (I know who you are, I gave you the name, LOL) you can come here anytime you want. I don't feel it is intrusive at all. I have the support & friendship of some amazing people on here and you are certainly one of my most favorite so please do come here. Oh, I put up a journal on Jim and one from Kelly that you should definitely read. Please don't lose any sleep over me. I am going to be fine. As you, and these people know, I have my down days but I am a fighter and will always bounce back. I love you and I will be just fine. Oh, take a look at my photos. If you don't know how to navigate this site just let me know and I will help you through it. You should come back to posts you have responded to, to see if anyone has responded to your response.
My Beautiful Sister and Protector,
I've been thinking about you all night. I couldn't even sleep. I know you should have a private place that you can be yourself, but I can't help but come to this blog to see how you're feeling or what you're thinking. It makes me cry (which stinks because I'm at work) to read the things that you are all going through. But coming here makes me feel a little closer to you. I almost feel like I've seen you every day I come here. I'll try not to intrude on your blog too much.
Good luck today sis. I'll be saying a Rosary for you.
Flicka (Lisa)
Wish I could sit in the chemo room with you. My mom, sister and best friend sat with me last Friday, it made all the difference in the world.
Hoping this one does not cause such extreme discomfort for you as those in the past and that it works!
Sharon
Sending positive vibes your way. Hope this new combo does the trick!
I know combo (even 'tri' combo) drugs have been discussed on this board many times. There are some great combination drugs such as Doxil and Eloxatin which I believe might be a very good combination. I had a thread on that one along with another person who was a good researcher on such combo's for his wife...might give you and your oncologist some ideas:

One thing about onc's is that they typically like to stick with what they know...combo's that are new don't necessarily scare them, but they are unfamiliar with them and have a pretty good gig going with what they know anyways. Some are progressive in their thinking on this, but most are conservative and don't like to try new things. Then there are some that will only try new things when it's too late and there is nothing else to try (thus making it a **** shoot). I think you are smart looking into this right now!
Aw honey, you know I am praying for you and hoping this program will be what you are looking for. I love you Jan!
