One ovary removed now anxiety disorder

I had my right ovary removed in 2001 due to a tumor.  After that, began to have problems with anxiety and panic attacks.  It took me a long time to figure out it was anxiety.  I have often wondered if my anxiety could be a result of the under-production of hormones.  Through the years I have noticed my anxiety is always worse the days before the first 2 days of my period.  That makes me even more sure that the two may be related.
I want my life back!

I have a lot of anxiety. I have MS and stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Some of my anxiety is from real life some of it is messed up brain chemistry. I have learned self hypnosis with the help of a counselor and to distract myself from the anxiety. I am afraid of heights and I used to climb several stories on ladders for my occupation. I use deep breathing and act as if it does not bother me. My brain acts like a hamster wheel. The thoughts go round and round. I have to break the cycle by thinking of anything else. If I can think about others it helps. I call friends and ask about what they are doing and really listen. I watch TV, take a walk, read a book, clean something. I do anything besides thinking if I can help it. Spending time alone in my head is the worst place I can be.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi Cristina,
Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress but may indeed become excessive causing anxiety disorders. These  commonly occur along with other mental or physical illnesses and it is important that you have this checked also by your doctor for proper evaluation.
These can be managed also with medication, specific types of psychotherapy, or both.Hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
