Ovarian Cancer and Clinical Trial

My 26 yr old daughter was diagnosed in May this year with stage 3 ovarian cancer.  She has only 1 more chemo session to get.  She is also taking part in clinical trail of Avastin and I feel she has got worse during her treatment she gets very breathless and takes about half an hour to recover she also has constant nose bleeds and is constantly tired.  Is it normal to feel this bad during treatment.  I am trying to keep chirpy for her sake but she is very down and being in the menopause is not helping.

Definitely speak with her doctor about low blood counts, sometimes bleeding indicates low platelets. Shortness of breathe is also a system of low blood counts. I have had several blood.. platelet and red cell transfusions and afterward felt sooo much better.  Hope this helps,  good luck. Withe

Do not know what combination with Avastin your daughter is taking but I have heard that nosebleeds are a part of Avastin.. I took carbo taxol and was constantly tired and the usual problem is low red blood cells.. I had several blood transfusions and then felt much better... She should talk with her oncologist on her platalet count and red blood cells... chemo is tough.. I am twice your daughters age and it took me almost a year to feel like normal again... my last chemo was 14 months ago.. good luck..
