Ovarian Cancer stage 3-4

Dear all,  My mum has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 2 years ago and had undergone chemotherapy 33 times.  Recently the oncologist suggested that she try a new drug called Caelyx Doxil .  Her CA 125 is 9.  What is your opinion?  She is 73 years old and is considered still strong.
Thank you

Her Dr may be suggesting that she stay on chemo to keep the cancer from wanting to grow. I have never been on caelyx but have been on Doxil with fairly good results.
You might want to ask her Dr but I am sure that is the reason that he wants to keep her on chemo, more as a precautionary measure.

Many women on this forum have taken .. or are taking .. Doxil.  With a  CA of 9, I am surprised with more chemo.  Did she have a CT or PET that showed new cancer activity?
