Research in NJ for OVCA

Hi there, I just received a request to participate in a study sponsored by The Cancer Institute of New Jersey & Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre. I was contacted because I am on the NJ State Cancer Registry. Wow, how depressing!
Anyway, this research is looking into Diet and Lifestyle links to Ovarian Cancer Risk and includes a genetic test too.
I am going to join up. Hopefully this will help somehow and give a bit more meaning into my having OVCA.
This cheered my day - evidence they are really researching cause and not just treatment, so I thought I would pass the information on. Maybe there are others on here that are being treated in NJ that will be recieving the same letter.

I live in NJ and never really registered -- Go for it and good luck with everything -- I know that risk assessment is big at Robert Wood (Cancer Institute of NJ) -- Will be interesting to see what comes out of this

Good luck with the study ... hopefully you'll meet other survivors along the way.  Judy

I was so happy to read your post !!  The studies done for this disease are so old and underfunding prevents updated ones.  This is a start in the right direction for OVCA.  I hope a letter reaches Virginia!  Thank you for sharing....Cindy
