Symptoms???

A couple of months ago I started to notice that my stomach looks bloated (I work with a trainer and eat a VERY strict diet) so that is not normal for me.  I have a lot of pain on the left side of my stomach and when lying flat you can feel that the organs/muscles on that side stick out further than they do on the right side (my dr felt this as well).  I always have a small cyst on that left ovary (3cm).  I do have endometriosis which I have known about for 3 years now.  So I know what endometriosis and cyst pains feel like and this is something different.  Here are my symptoms:

Bloated stomach
Fullness - I can't eat very much
Nausea after I eat or drink anything
I spot 2-3 days a week every week
I spot after sex
I spot after I check the placement of my IUD
Vaginal Discharge (I always have to wear something)
Stomach pain (lower left pelvis and middle left side of abdomen)
Tender when you push on those spots
There are certain times where when my husband and I are having sex it feels as though he is "poking" something and he can feel it too (that causes me to spot afterwards as well).  We could do the same position a couple days later and neither of us would feel that it varies.
When I lie flat on my back, sometimes you can see that the left side of my abdomen is slightly more distended than the right side.

Oh I had an IUD placed Dec. 2009.

I had an u/s today and I should get my results in 2 days.  My dr said that from there, based on the results, we will go with an uppder gi and a colonoscopy.  Just sitting here I have pain in my stomach.

My symptoms have gotten much worse.  I still can't eat.  My stomach is very tender.  I used to be able to lie down and set my 9 month old on my stomach but now that hurts really bad (even pressing on my stomach is painful).  I have pain while I'm passing uring, gas or a BM.  The pain is in my lower abdomen on both sides now.  My fatigue has gotten much worse.  I have to take naps throughout the day and I still feel like I could sleep for days.  Also my BMs have turned very, very, very green.  I haven't changed my diet, drank kool-aid, taken meds or anything like that that could cause green stools.  Any advice?

Thanks to everyone for your help!  I just got a call from my dr and they said the u/s was normal except for the small cyst (3 cm) that I have on my left ovary.  I have had that cyst pretty much everytime I have gotten an u/s in the last 5 years!  I asked if a small cyst could cause all those symptoms and the nurse said "Sure" and recommended I come back for a repeat u/s in 3-6 months.  I am tempted to make an appointment with my OB, although I'm not sure how much good that will do.

Have you had a pap (smear test) done? The spotting/discharge sounds more like a cervix problem. It may be you cervix that can be felt sometimes during intercouse or it could be something to do with the IUD- does it secrete hormones as well and did you have problems before you had it in? I would agree with above that the other abdo symptoms warrant a CA125 and ultrasound. Having said that a numerous ultrasounds and a CT scan failed to show i had a football sized ovarian cyst! I think it was to large to tell what it was. They didn't know what they were removing until they opened me up.  Diagnosis is now borderline tumor stage 1A.

Hi,
It is great that you are being managed by your Dr. However, my alarm bells are going off. Please please ask for a CA125 test and a follow up with a gynae Dr so you can have a CT. You need to know what these lumps are, especially as the symptoms are quite subtle & variable. If you don't get a referal, keep going until you get one. Remember you can ask for what you want and ask for a referal! Don't wait to see if the Dr will automatically do one. They are not the patient.
Wishing you well. Sue.
