I am 47 and i had a partial hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries. My mom had breast cancer and
later lost her life to lung cancer. I have had a history of Ovarian cyst. I have almost all the risk
factors (period at 10, no children and family history). I am having several symptoms of ovarian
cancer, bloating, weight gain especially in the stomach, Pain in the lower abdomen, gas, diahrea,
low back pain, and leg cramps. I had a normal Gyno check up 3 months ago, but at the time
I didn't know about the symptoms related OVC. Should I make an appointment with an GYN/ONOCOLOGIST?

Worried,
Liv

Liv,
it really is worth getting checked out, make an appointment and tell your gyno your concerns , as survivor susie has said the tests are no big deal and you need peace of mind .
Best of luck Angie

I agree 100% with Survivor Susie.  You are probably fine, but it pays to be sure. Good luck and I am sorry about your mom. Love, Marie

I'd go get an appointment as soon as possible, if for no other reason than to alleviate your fears.  Ask for a vaginal ultrasound; it seems to be the procedure by which most of us were alerted to the chance of having ovca.  And, it's no big thing, since it takes only a matter of a few minutes and is painless.
Good luck to you.  Better to be safe than sorry, huh?
