has anyone had a cyst rupture before surgery? what were the symptoms?

So I went for my second US earlier this week...the cyst is still there and i'm getting removed June 10th.
My experience w/ this particular US tech really sucked.  She was  pressing hard over my ovaries during the abdominal US and the TVUS...forget about it!  Prior to the US I was okay but since the US i'm feeling more and more pressure around the area and feeling odd pains come and go.....I hope it stays put until my surgery date.

It is normal to feel that kind of pressure after having an exam or ultrasound.  I'm sorry the tech was so rough with you today.  I have been there, done that.  It is very unpleasant.  As for symptoms of a ruptured cyst I'll tell you what I know :)

1.  Intense, severe lower abdominal pain
2.  nausea
3.  possible low grade fever.

That's about all I know ;-)  I wold imagine it is just how rough the tech was with you.  I know that after an exam I am in pain for a few days.

ps...we are going to be surgery buddies.  I am having surgery June 8th!!
