I am kinda in the same boat as you are. I had my uterus removed back in 1997 they left my ovaries said they looked good. Well I had a car accident and an MRI they did on my lower back a little over a week ago showed a cyst on my right ovary. I freaked and went to my dr and they had me undergo a TransVaginal Ultrasound. It found that I had a complex cyst in the right ovary 1.6cm at its greatest diameter and found something on or next to my left ovary either a cyst or loculated fluid not related to the left ovary. Yes it happens and I know if you read through much of these forums I just found today you can find some good help and some good reading. I do know that Cysts are common no matter if you had your uterus removed or not unless your post menapausal (already gone through the change).. Then you can still get them they just pose more concern for them to look through. I balled my eyes out last night so much over this my eyes litterally are half swollen shut. Trust me when I say do some reading through these posts and you will see others going through the same thing and they can help you relax some. It isn't unheard of and from what I read here its common and that they sound like they are ontop of your situation. What did they say they were going to do next for you?
I have another MRI monday then they will decide what they will do, I am 41 and have had 5 kids and as far as I am concerned if they have to go in they can just take all the rest of my plumbing out. I would much rather have hot flashes than worry about cysts.
Best Wishes
Is the cyst in you ovary? THat is possible without a uterus
I thank you Tanja, I think the waiting game is the worst. I haven't seen any post here yet with anyone who doesn't have a Uterus with the same problem and that also has me worried and no one has replied to my post until you shot my a hang in there line that I really appreciated.
Thank you again.
I don't know anything about cysts without having a uterus. But I just had a cyst removed surgically and am at home recovering. You came to the right place for comfort. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I know how difficult it can be to not know for sure what type of cyst is growing in you. I am waiting for my biopsy results to get back. I have gotten wonderful support and information from this forum. Good luck and God bless.
