I have 23 cysts on my ovaries, they are relatively small only 5mm. But I constantly have really bad pain, some days I don't want to get up, it hurts so much. Is there anything I can do to help the pain?
Hiya
Thankyou so much for your reply, its realy helped me :-)
Hi again. Well your ultrasound clearly states "Multiseptated Rt ovarian cyst still evident". How can the gynocologist say you don't have an ovarian cyst when clearly you do? Strange. Ovarian cysts can also affect bowel and bladder.
Some or all of the following symptoms may be present with an ovarian cyst:
Dull aching, or severe, sudden, and sharp pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen (one or both sides), pelvis, vagina, lower back, or thighs; pain may be constant or intermittent—this is the most common symptom
Fullness, heaviness, pressure, swelling, or bloating in the abdomen
Breast tenderness
Pain during or shortly after beginning or end of menstrual period
Irregular periods, or abnormal uterine bleeding or spotting
Change in frequency or ease of urination (such as inability to fully empty the bladder), or difficulty with bowel movements due to pressure on adjacent pelvic anatomy
Weight gain
Nausea or vomiting
Fatigue
Infertility
Increased level of hair growth
Increased facial hair or body hair
Headaches
Strange pains in ribs, which feel muscular
Bloating
Strange nodules that feel like bruises under the layer of skin
Sorry to be a pain :-), its just i need to know so when i go back to the hospital i have all the questions to ask once you get in those places you tend to forget or the questions seem so silly or your made to feel silly asking :-( i am so fed up today i have so much pain been up all night the pain is like a very bad period pain no painkillers are touching it, and i dont feel i can go to A&E in case they just fob me off again :-(
Please any one before i go mad, are this symptoms typical of a overian cyst or not
thankyou :-)
thank you for your reply :-)
i have the problems with bowel movements, urine frequency ( to which the gyni doctor said has nothing to do with ovarian cyst to which she says i don't have) i have continued discomfort and bloating and the pain is like a serve period pain,do you read them as i have ovarian cysts?
should i be worried or get a second opinion i really don't know what to do or are these ok to leave
again thank you for you rely :-)
This is what i would make of your results...
* Right ovary - 5.8 x 5.5 cm multiseptated vascular ovarian cyst. A type of complex ovarian cyst that contains semi-solid and liquid being fed by the the vascular system.
* Left ovary - two small anechoic cystic/follicles of 7 x 5mm and 8 x 5mm
* Possible hydrosalpinx - blocked and fluid filled fallopian tube/s.
* Nabothian cysts - mucus filled cysts on the surface of the cervix.
* Multiple uterine fibroids. One submucosal fibroid measuring over 1cm (13mm x 9mm x 7mm). Submucosal fibroids are the least common of uterine fibroids. Submucosal fibroids grow beneath the uterine cavity lining.
Symptoms depend on the location of the fibroid and its size. Symptoms include abnormal gynecologic haemorrhage, heavy or painful periods, abdominal discomfort or bloating, pelvic pain, back ache, difficulty having a bowel movement or painful bowel movements, urinary frequency or retention, and in some cases, infertility. During pregnancy they may be the cause of miscarriage, bleeding, premature labor, or interference with the position of the fetus.
* A disc protrusion is also called bulging disc, ruptured disk, slipped disc, or herniated disc. The L5 S1 disc is the most fragile and susceptible to protrusion since it gets more load than the other lumbar discs. A disc protrusion is one of the most common causes of back pain.
