Will an ultrasound show fluid from a ruptured ovarian cyst 1 week after rupture?

Hello,

My doctor thinks I ruptured an ovarian cyst on Saturday (excruciating pelvic pain radiating into my lower back and thighs, nausea, trouble moving for 3 days) but the hospital can't get me in to have an ultrasound until Thursday (5 days after it ruptured). Will the fluid still be in my abdomen even if I don't have the severe pain anymore? I'm worried that it'll be too late for the abdominal ultrasound and that they won't be able to see anything.

You might also tell them you'll take a spot if they have a cancellation, if it comes sooner than your scheduled ultrasound.

Something will still be in there, I'm sure.
