Cysts can press on the nerves. I had a lot of back and sciatica pain with my cysts.
Opps, yes it should be mm not cm. I agree about the hysterectomy. At first I agreed and it was going to be sceduled for begining of Feb. But after doing some research, I believe I don't need one and I canceled it. Also, looking at a website called the hers foundation, really scard me. Could make things much worse. I think I will talk to my doctor about the Laporascopic surgery. Has anyone had one? The one thing that is still bothersome is my lower back aching. It almost feels like from the front to the back and inbetween if that makes any sense. My doctor doesn't think the back pain is related. You see I had back surgery almost 4 years ago and had fusion of L-4 and L-5 (low back area). I also get some sciatica pain. I am wondering the cyst that keeps comming and going could be pressing against a nerve.?? Thinking of seeing my back doctor just to rule out my back.
Look again at your measurments. Everything was stated in millimeters (mm) which is very small, except for the right ovary which is stated in centimeters (cm). I hope you just typed that incorrectly, because those numbers in cm are huge, but not too terrible if you meant mm. Assuming mm, I haven't seen anything above that warrants a hysterectomy and I would want your doctor to justify it better. Lap surgery to just inspect and clean up some of the offending problems could be enough without ripping out everything.
Thanks for your post. Yes, I don't think the fibroid is the problem. I do spot inbetween cycles at times and bleed longer than 7 days but not heavy. I do know that I am getting recurring cysts but only on my left ovary. I have read that when the cysts burst they can turn into endometriosis. I will follow up my my doctor. thanks.
It sounds like you are getting recurring cysts that are often resolving themselves. A fibroid is pretty normal and many women have them without any issues - only treated when very heavy periods result. I would wonder if you have PCOS or possibly endometriosis. You might want to talk to your doctor about doing a laporascopic surgery to see what is happening first.
