im not even sure why i dont like needles,as they say its all in the mind lol.ive got another question if ya dont mind helping me with that 2,or shal i start a new question and do it that way?
I can relate to everything you are saying. I, too, am one of those people that shy away from needles. Cannot look when anyone gives a needle or draws blood or I get so queasy and pale, I scare people into thinking I'm going to faint.
I got my very first flu shot this year after years of avoiding it. For once, fear of the flu was greater than fear of the needle. Is it possible that at age 49 I am finally growing up?
Ha. ha. I have discovered, though, that needles have come a long way since I was a kid getting vaccinated. Today's needles barely hurt at all.
thanx,i read your story and its helped alot.im just nervous about the surgery, and im not so keen on needles.they think they are goin to do it in the next month or so,i just want it over with so i can start the recovery process, the thing i hate the most is the waiting x
That sounds like a laparotomy (open surgery). You can read my surgery story in the "about me" section of my profile. I had a 10+cm cyst removed and both ovaries (same sized incision whether one or both get removed).
You may not like to hear how long the recovery can be. You will need help with the toddlers especially during the first weeks of the recovery period. You will not be able to lift children for months afterwards.
