Hello,
A pelvic examination done for checking out the polyps is a simple procedure done by a gynecologist in the OPD setting with a speculum being inserted inside and then pelvic examination being done. During a pelvic examination, the health care provider will see smooth, red or purple, fingerlike growths on the cervix. A cervical biopsy will most often show cells that are consistent with a benign polyp.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
I have not had one, but have observed one. It is a simple procedure done under anesthesia. It only take about half an hour and they will look for polyps, and do biopsies of the uterine wall.
