Hello Yuva,
Welcome to the Pain Management Community. I am sorry about your troublesome symptoms. Why have you not seen your PCP?
This could be a simply dermatitis or a STD, though not probable. You may have a yeast infection. I doubt it is Shingles because of the location and your description. It is important that you see a physician to determine what the cause of the rash and pain. Have you tried an over the counter steroidal cream such as a hydrocortisone based one or benadryl. Discuss this with your pharmacist before application. You may want to try one until you are able to consult with your physician.
Are the lymph nodes enlarged in your groin? This can indicate a systemic infection or localized inflammation. It could account for the pain you feel when walking.
I'm sorry I cannot be more definitive. Rashes can be difficult to diagnosis and can disappear as quickly as they appeared. However you should take the rash and accompanying pain seriously and not let this go untreated.
Best of luck to you. I hope you will soon be able to obtain a medical diagnosis. Please let us know how you are doing. I will watch, with interest for your progress updates.
Peace,
Tuck
Hi yuva:
Tuck had some good advise. In my opinion, you need to be checked out by your Doctor. My Husband had similar pain to yours and it turned out to be a double hernia that needed surgery. Other than the pain, he also had the rash.
In any case, you must make an appt. for this at once. Do not let it go. Also, you may want to be careful of what creams you are using. Some can be irritating in that area because of the tenderness of the skin in the region.
Please take care and make an appt soon.
