Hello Phoenix,
Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Mangement Forum. I am sorry to hear about your husband's pain and diagnosis.
Mollyrae is correct. There is nothing that I am aware of that will ease your husband's pain other than narcotics or something similar that would have to be prescribed by his physician. Is he taking anything for pain?
Molly also added another good suggestion. When the pain becomes acute there is nothing wrong with him seeking treatment for that pain at an Urgent Care Center. If you do not have one close by than a trip to ER may be in order.
Have you or he discussed these painful episodes with his treating physician? If not I would certainly do so. Impress upon his physician how extreme these acute symptoms become. Be assertive and request something to ease his pain.
Please keep us posted and let us know how he is doing. We will look forward to your updates. Your husband is fortunate to have your concern and caring. I wish you both the very best and hope that you soon will find a resolution to his painful episodes..
Take Care,
~Tuck
Hello:
Unfortunately there is not. I also suffer from Liver Disease and other than opiates or OTC meds, there is nothign that will comfort him.
When he has these episodes, it may be a good time to see an Urgent Care Doctor. They may be able to help short term.
I hope he has a good Gastroenterologist.
My best,
Mollyrae
