You MUST watch the Penn & Teller Bulls*** Criminal Justice

I am watching as I type a Penn and Teller Bulls*** segment called "Criminal Justice".  A large part at the first of it is devoted to the prosecution (or rather persecution) of a chronic pain patient and his doctor.  In a nut shell, the police and district attorney decided that a man who was in a wheel chair and in great pain who was prescribed a large number of pain killers must either be selling them or be an addict and being supplied his fix by a doctor.  Either way he and the doctor were guilty.  First trial - hung jury.  Convicted second time.  The poor man in the wheelchair spent 3 and 1/2 years in prison before being pardoned by the governor of Florida.  I must have missed what happened to the doctor.

It's on Showtime.  Another showing tonight at 11:30 to midnight.  I'm on CDT.  I'm not trying to promote a TV station.  It's simply where this very pertinent show is on.

You really must see this.  So scary.  It shows why our doctors are so scared to prescribe.

Sherry:  Oh yes, record it.  DO NOT allow the granddaughters  to watch it.  Their language would make a sailor blush!!!

Thank you so much for telling us about the show. It's not on in AZ yet, it comes on at 3:30pm and 9:30pm here. I have it set to record at 3:30pm and I'm ANXIOUSLY awaiting the showing!!

I guess we should have guessed that it would have been Florida where it was happening with all of the problems that they are having.  I feel REALLY bad for the LEGIT PM Dr.'s down in Florida. It must be EXTREMELY difficult for them to practice and be able to HELP their LEGIT CP Patients!!
