3 year old son with sub-aortic membrane.

Hi!  I was just curious if children ever "outgrow" the diagnosis of sub-aortic membrane?  Does it always continue to grow?  Does surgery always have to be done?  My little boy was diagnosed with this at the age of 18 months.  He will be 4 this October.  The cardiologist sees him once a year and I'm always anxious for the next appointment to see how he is doing.  He had open heart as baby to fix an interrupted aortic arch, a VSD repair and some other things.  I wish I knew more about his problem.  Have been trying to find out all I can.  Thank you for any answers!
