I had the paragard, which is non hormonal. So I never had hormones and it shouldn't change anything.. Today, which is the 22nd of June, I noticed that I couldn't taste the salt on the fries I ordered. I freaked and asked my husband if he could taste the salt and he said yes, I swear they tasted like sweet potatoes, very sugary. So I have no idea. I have been tired lately and my breasts hurt like hell this morning. Oh and also, I tried other salty foods, like chips and even Mexican food and I just couldn't taste the salt. Good luck on both of you ladies. I do want to be pregnant. :)
I had my IUD also removed this month (1st of June) after 5 years. My husband and I had sex the night before mine was removed (and I was due for my period a few days after removal), so I'm essentially wondering my chances of getting pregnant immediately. It seemed like I got my period, but it could have been bleeding from the removal. I've heard of women getting pregnant immediately after IUD removal. My OBGYN also let me know it was possible to get pregnant immediately after removal, and I've heard of it happening. For most women it usually takes a few months post-removal to get pregnant; it takes some time for the body to adjust to regulating hormones and get back to a regular cycle (which could be different from the cycle you had while the IUD was in place). So it just depends on how your body adjusts post-removal. If my cycle stays the same it seems I'm a few days ahead of you, so I'll report back if I end up pregnant!
I had my IUD removed in February and have been TTC since. If you had a period with your IUD then ovulation shouldn't change. I didn't have a period, so it's taking me a few months to get back regular. Good luck!!
