After 4 years of barely dating anyone, I met a guy while he was on a business trip. We clicked and he changed his ticket to stay longer. We spent a week together and had sex 2-24 through 2-27. On 2-28 I became extremely tired while we were shopping. Later I started to feel nauseated by the smell of food and couldn't eat. One minute I was washing my hands in the sink and the next second I was puking in the toilet. I got emergency contraception to be safe. I was told it was probably too late, but that I could take it if I wanted. This was confusing advice. I had some spotting that day that was pink and very light brown only when I wiped. I thought it was my period, but it wasn't. I took the EC on 3-4 around midnight. On 3-6, I started spotting and cramping and losing pink tissue. On 3-9 There was tissue and clotting, but no period blood. I thought there was no chance that anything could survive that and assumed it was over.
HPT tests and one blood test were negative. It is now 4/5 and 3 days late for second missed period. Very sore and tender breasts which seem a bit fuller and feel heavy. Aversion to certain foods coffee and alcohol, tiredness, rumbling stomach all night every night, tender abdomen, very weird pulling sensations in my abdomen, lower back pain, occasional nausea, headaches, difficulty sleeping and vivid dreams. Yesterday I had a slight creamy white discharge. I took the EC at the end of the 120 hour cutoff if conception happened on 2-27. I'm worried. He seemed to be a great guy, but lives in another country so I'm sure he would not be happy. I 'm in my 30's, single and not at all prepared for this. I cannot imagine affording this or doing this on my own, but going through a termination also seems awful. Does anyone have any experience with these kinds of symptoms after plan b? Could I be pregnant or could these be side effects? has anyone had negative tests and still turning out to be pregnant?
