Could I be pregnant?

My period was due last Thursday (March 31st). I am very regular with a 28-day cycle, so when I missed my period this month I was ecstatic!  I am now 5 days late>>>However, my HPT's are all giving me negative results, which is heartbreaking.  I have been experiencing lower abdominal cramps, tender breasts, occasional dizziness, & an obvious missed period.  Can I still be pregnant with the home pregnancy tests still reading negative?  Please help!  Thank you :)

PS...spoke with my OB-Gyn's office this afternoon & they suggested that I wait a week to take another HPT & if I have still not had my period by then, then they would send me for bloodwork - I just hate the waiting game LOL!!   Any & all advice is greatly appreciated!!

I ended up getting my period a week after it was due...now I'm off of it & time to try to conceive again this month!  Wish me luck :)

Hi girls I to am in the same boat I'm 5 days late today it depressing getting I want a baby so bad seeing as my cycle has never been late I think this is it going to my obgyn Monday for a test but its nice to know I'm not the only person in this situation I just don't want to wake up one morning and my period be on but good luck to both you all and some symptoms I have are missed period super sore breasts and egg white looking stuff in my panties. A faint line is considered a Positive!!!!!  Any line, no matter how light or dark it appears, means that HCG was detected in your urine & it's a positive!!!!  Yipee!  Congrats to you...now I'm gonna go take my last one I have :)

Thank you u are such a sweetheart! I will let u know too. I did take a test today and I got a really faint line.. Is that still a positive?

Thanks!  I just have that gut feeling that I am, along with some unusual symptoms.  I have read up about it as well & yes, sometimes the body does not produce enough of the HCG hormone until weeks even months after you even take that first test...it is just nerve-wrecking.  But, i'm trying my hardest not to getstressed over it, because that'l only make things worse :)   Good Luck to you as well!  I will be sure to let you know what the results are as soon as I find out!  Thanks again...sending baby dust your way!!

I think you still could be.. I am going threw the same thing. I have symptoms and I am 5 days late but negative test. So I did research and found that it can take some woman as long as two months or more to get a positive and everyone is different in how many hcgs they produce.. So dont lose hope! I hate the waiting game too! Let me know what you find out!
