How are you doing on your weight gain?

Now that we're well into the second trimester the suggested weight gain is slightly over 1 pound a week. I know that's right about what I've been doing for the last 3 weeks. At this rate I'll be the same weight I was when my daughter was born probably around 175ish just shy of 180. My average non pregnancy weight is around 160 so that keeps me in the normal range.

I'm checking in to see how everyone else is doing with their weight gain. I know for some of us it can be hard to put the pounds on and even harder to make sure we don't gain too much.

I'm already looking forward to losing the weight after the baby is born!

I was worried about weight gain in the beginning now  I am not so sure..

Its hard for me to track my weight regularly because my scale is very off from the doctors..

I had gained 3 lbs at my last prenatal visit at 16 weeks.. At that point on my scale, I was weighing around 99-100.6 on my scale at home (103 at doctors)... When I weight myself at home now at 19 weeks I weigh 102.6-103.4  so I have gone up again.. I would think I have gained at least 5 lbs at this point but wont really get weighed at the doctors again for a while.  I just weigh myself at home for the reference... if the number is going up everyweek then i wont stress it

I am now at 133 lbs. Started out at 120 so about 13 lbs in and I was so sick in the beginning that I had actually lost about 5lbs. Not sure if the weight gain is at a normal pace but all I eat is veggies and fruit so I know she will be healthy lol!

I am 20 weeks and I have gained about 13 pounds so far.  I usually gain about 30-35 pounds when pregnant.  I don't know if it is because this is my 3rd pregnancy...but I seem to be getting rounder earlier.

im up to 106.4 on my scale.. its hard to estimate because my scale is different from the doctor but I think that makes my weight gain roughly around 8 lbs.

Wow PetiteWonder that baby is growing :D

Don't feel bad at all navaehlei, I noticed too that when I had the miscarriage 3 months prior, my body still held onto the 10 lbs that I gained.  But in hindsight too I think the extra weight may have helped with getting pregnant and being able to keep the baby this time.  Weight seems to be a factor with some women not only getting pregnant but staying pregnant--

I usually can get up to 165-168 when all is said and done and that is about standard for each of my pregnancies.  As long as you are eating healthy that is what matters the most :D

I'm still struggling with my hypermesis and haven't gained anything. I actually had my OB appt today and was down a couple pounds. But he said baby is growing good and even though he's super low my fundus height is still a week ahead.

I am 25 weeks and have gained a total of 15.5 pound and the babies are almost two pounds so as long as the babies are weighting fine I don't worry about it. I thought I was not gaining enough but see, the babies are great so I don't put a number on your head, I can't never gained 40 pounds OMG!!!! just remember as long as the babies are good that's it:)

Yes that's the important thing, I try not to even look at the scale all the time, maybe weekly if I can help it.  Between fluid building up and blood volume and everything else, lol

As long as you feel good and are eating healthy that is what is important, the thought of little baby toes keeps me happy :D

I am 25 weeks and have gained 14.5 lbs. I was underweight before pregnancy and this little one won't let me eat sweets and she seems to crave tomatoes and fruit. Don't know if that makes too much of a difference but my weight seems a little small for this far along.

I'm 25 weeks now and have gained 12.5 pounds total, but I did lose almost 8 in the first few weeks from nausea. I seem to be gaining a pound a week now.

I think I'll finish up around 180.
