IS IT POSSIBLE MY WATER BROKE?! PLEASE READ

I usually pee a lot but tonight for the past two hours I have been getting up to pee every five minutes literally which isnt normal for me I pee like maybe once every hour or two.. I didnt pay much attention to it until my mom asked me why I was peeing so much.. after that I peed again and it was COMPLETELY clear.. which its always yellow no matter how much water I drink.. and I smelled it and it didnt smell like pee.. then I peed again five minutes later and it was still 100% clear... and it does not smell like pee.. could this be my water breaking!?!?! The reason im asking is bc I always thought when your water broke it just came out without you being able to hold it at all.. could it be!? :D im 40w1d

Not to discount all these other ladies but it is possible that you don't know for sure that it's your water. When mine broke it was a hind leak so it wasn't the big pop and gush. It was hardly even a trickle, no heavier than vaginal discharge, just more liquidy. Definitely check with your midwife still!

When you're water breaks you'll know.  There's no stopping it and when it does break that's when the contractions get stronger longer and more painful.  Not to scare you by saying painful it's just like really bad poop cramps that last for minutes.

Im not sure if its your water but when i got induced with my first pregnancy i was laying in my hospital bed getting the pitocin and all that good stuff lol and i felt like i had to pee really bad but i was strapped up to so many monitors that by thr time i finally untangled myself i stood up and it felt like i peed myself but it had blood in it and sure enough it was my water. So i mean it could be your water cause if i wouldve made it to the toilet i woulda thought i was just peeing lol.

You shouldn't be able to hold it in if it's fluid. It will gush more at a time when you contact and may just trickle very slowly between contractions. If you think your water is broken but it's clear and odorless, keep track of baby's movements but don't panic. Unless you're group b strep positive or preterm, you're okay.
I'd say: don't insert anything into your vagina. No sex, no touching. Call your Dr/midwife first thing in the a.m. and ask for a speculum assisted exam to confirm or disprove that your membranes have ruptured. In the meantime, get some rest. If your water is broken, your labor will probably start on its own very soon, and you'll feel better throughout if you're well rested. Good luck!
