Group B Strep Test
I'm a ftm & at my next appointment I will be getting the group b strep test done & getting checked for dialation. How is this done? & Is it painful?
I have this on Monday too! I'll be 36 weeks! I've been checked before its a little uncomfortable. But I get one more ultrasound to confirm he's head down so I am soooo excited to see him one last time before he's born :)
Its not painful at all. They just take a q tip and swab your vagina and your rectum. The q tip will go inside of your anus but its not painful just awkward. Lol.
The strep test is a quick swab, no big deal. Checking for dialation can be a bit uncomfortable they put their fingers inside and check your cervix.
