Cold medicine and 3rd trimester

I am 32 weeks and I have a terrible cold. I was wondering what I can take for it? I called the pharmacy and they were not helpful. Just said if I was you I wouldnt take anything and just deal with it. And my doctor is out today

I am waiting on a nurse to call me back. I just want some sort of relief. I was fine last night then as the night went on I got sicker. Then it has slowly gotten worse since I woke up

You should be able to call the helpline for your dr and ask them. They were always really helpful when It was after hours. There are several drs in my obs practice though so even if he is out there is someone to cover his patients. You may want to call up there and see what his nurse says.

I ran into the same problem when seeking advice from a pharmacy while I was breastfeeding--they would not tell me if I could or could not take an OTC medication and said I needed to talk to my doctor.
If your doctor is out today, call a couple of other clinics, or even a few other pharmacies. Surely you can get some professional advice from someone if you ask around enough. :-)
