Announcement Ideas??

I just recently found out that I am expecting (right now, i'm about 5.5 weeks along) and I am hoping to let my family know the good news at Christmas! The only thing is, I am the sixth out of eight children, so my family is not new to the pregnancy announcements. I have over ten nieces and nephews. I am trying to think of a creative way to to share the news, since this is MY first time expecting, so that everyone is extra excited! Anyone have any ideas for a family that has seen their share of babies???

I'm the youngest of 6 and I have 14 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces do it's nothing new in my family either....so when I tell them I'm going to make copies of the ultra sound p pictures in christmas cards and have them all open them at the same time :)

I think that is a cute idea! We were considering sending ornaments, but weren't sure how well they would ship in the mail; all of my siblings live in other states, unfortunately :)

I bought a photo frame that said " I'm lucky to have grandparents like you" and put u/s pic in it. I've never really seen my dad cry until that day:)

I think it would be cute to make or have engraved a custom ornament for each of your main families (each of you parents households, each siblings household, etc) with the month of your due date & 2012. You should be 9-10 weeks by Xmas, right? It is a personal decision, but I told my family at 9 weeks because we had our first ultrasound & everything looked good. And most of them were guessing we were expecting anyway. ;-) Congrats to you!
