I am almost 27 weeks and a candy freak as well. I love it!!!! Eat it almost daily. Talked to doc about it and he told me that as long as I am not eating bags of it each day it's okay. Said the sugar won't do anything to the baby.....it'll just add the pounds. It's empty calories so as long as you are eating a well balanced diet around the candy you are alright. baby needs nutrition and he/she won't get it from the candy.
You may have pulled something. Check with your doc if the pain persists. My dtr is 28 months (29 pounds) and I do pick her up on a daily basis when she is crying. Playing with her is an all day thing and yes, she has kicked me in the stomach too. I should take additional precautions and be sure that the activities are on the safer side but that hardly happens. Enjoy him while he is little...they grow up way too fast!
I'm 18 weeks and not too big on the sugar for some reason. I actually prefer fruits and veggies right now...lol. (I am usually a chocolate freak!!) Sugar actually makes me feel really sick for some reason.
You could have pulled something, or it could just be the ligaments stretching, which can be quite painful at times...I've been going through it the last 2 weeks! To the point where it hurts to get up and I just want to lay down. I would just be careful with your son. Try to hold him while you are sitting. Try not too lift him too much, especially if you are having some pain in your belly. I wasn't able to lift my son for a week because I had such awful pains, doctors orders. Now if I pick him up (he is almost 30 pounds) I can't hold him for long. It just plain old hurts!
Hopefully your glucose will be fine. How much candy do you usually eat in one day? Excessive amounts of sugar, pregnant or not, can't be good. All things in moderation is my motto! =)
