Baby on blader???

So this is a little awkward but.. Me and my fiance were being intement and after we were done I felt normal. I got up to go pee like I always do after doing things and as I was getting up and dressed I felt a "gush" I guess you would say that kind of felt like I was peeing. Then I look down and I'm covered in I don't know what. I filled up 3 towels trying to dry off but I kept leaking it. Baby is moving every now and then like he always does and I have no pain. So my question is, do you think it was just baby pushing on my bladder or do you think it was my water? I'm 35 weeks and 3 days so it's awful early to have my water break, I think...? I'm a ftm so I don't really know what to look for.

MKristine,  the way it's written there in your last post it sounds like they just translated your described symptoms into the medical terminology of what your original complaint was - not that you actually HAVE premature rupture,  but rather,  that's the technical name for what you thought had happened.

Great that you have a doctor's appt tomorrow -

I would be careful though because my mom went in said she was in labor and they said it wasn't amniotic fluid when she said her water broke and sent her home, she knew she was in labor so a little while later when her contractions were pretty bad she went back and they rushed her up and she asked for a epidural and they said it was too late, even though they sent her home and said she wasn't in labor

I thought I had just peed myself, honestly but I had called l&d and they told me to come in.

It said that my question was "random gush of clear liquid filled up 3 towels of clear liquid, what could this be" and then next to that it said medical answer: "premature rupture of membranes" And I was needing to call my doctor to see about a whooping cough shot so when I call her about that I'll bring it up and see what she says. I have an appointment tomorrow. Thank you

MKristine,  I still think you need to call and get a clarification.  Did the paper say "suspected ruptured membrane",  as in it was the reason you came in and they were going to check it?

If the diagnosis was ruptured membrane,  I think you should call your regular doc this morning and find out what to do.

Best wishes.

It's what they told me and put on my paper before I left the hospital. They told me if I feel like my water broke or I have 6 contractions within and hour to go back in. They told me to just follow up with my doctor on Tuesday. From what I read online (I wasn't sure what it meant 100% so I did further reserch, because we thought that when they rupture it means your water broke.) that some wemon have their membrans around the sac rupture and don't go into labor for 24 hours or some even weeks.

I agree ruptured membranes means your water broke and you shouldn't have been let go. I would call for clarification.

Is that really what they said to you?  Can you call back and ask for clarification?  If you're having uterine contractions and have ruptured membranes,  that means your water has broken.

I ended up going in. It wasn't my water but I was contracting in my uterus and have ruptured membranes. Thank you!!

You should probably go to the hospital, just to be on the safe side. That happened to me as well and luckily when I went it wasn't my water that had broken. But the Dr did say that sex can break your waters. Your not early for that to happen. Good luck!!
