Body is DEAD tired

Okay, I don't know if this has anything to do with pregnancy, but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone else has experienced this...

It seems like every morning, for the last week, when I wake up I am DEAD TIRED. My body feels like a ton of sand bags, and I can barely force myself out of bed, even when I get 8 1/2 hrs of sleep. My mind is awake, but my body doesn't want to get up. I also noticed my body feels sore, and I have a lot of knots/pain in my back and even my hands! Is this something anyone experienced when they were first pregnant, or is it something else? Any input will be appreciated!!! I just can't seem to figure out an explanation.

Yes, with my first pregnancy I didn't know I was preggo, but I was too tired to wake up and find out that I was in the beginning. This is my second pregnancy and I am just as tired all the time. It never seems to end! LOL!

I definitely felt a drastic increase in fatigue in my first trimester.  There were days I would drop my son off at school and come home and just lay on the couch for a while.  For me it got a bit better toward the middle of the second tri and now I feel weighed down again lol.  But I know once the baby comes she will actually give me reason to be even more exhausted so I'm trying to take it very easy these days! :o)

Well for me it was mainly my stomach muscles that ached...literally felt as though I'd done 50sit ups the day before...but it was probably my uterus growing, my mum is a midwife and she said that you wouldn't believe the dramatic changes your body goes through during the first trimester especially...and it will effect people differently. If your going to the doctor then you will get an answer but I left mine and it got better. I am now coming up to 30weeks pregnant and everything is fine....just feel tiered in the mornings but I think feeling tiered a lot is common in pregnancy. Your bbody is working hard. Good luck x

I actually am going to the doctor today to get blood taken for hcg. Do you think it would be too early for that to be caused by pregnancy? Since you were 9-12 weeks? Sorry if I"m asking too many questions.

I don't know how far gone you are, I know when I was around 9-12weeks I used to have aches/pains as though I had over done it during exercise...even though I hadn't done any. I am coming up to 30 weeks and for almost a week now I wake up and feel as though I haven't been to sleep even though I have had 9hours+. Must be part of pregnancy :)
