Question about breastfeeding!

Someone told me that the longer you breastfeed your son the more chance that your son may be wimpy or a cry baby. I do not believe this, but i am just curious if any of you have experienced this.

I only let him latch on to feed and add son as he seemed full I'd set him down and made sure to try and use other means to sooth him when he cried. He was a lot calmer and soon knew that my breast were for food only.

I breastfed both my older children for a year (until they were ills enough for cows milk). My first would nurse when hungry but then started staying latched on even though she wasn't feeding. Then eventually wanted to latch on at almost every waking moment, crying if i didn't let her. The doc said that she was basically using my breast as a pacifier. Once my son came along

who evertold you that needs to be shot lol I've breastfed all of my babies and  6 of them from age 1-2 years and none of them either boys or girls are wimpy lol, they may be abit more attached to mum, but I dont see that as a bad thing :)
