Ive heaed of many women with twins learning to is it tandem nurse? With them both at the same time... Probably not straight away, but i would definitely say give breast feeding a try, i bottle fed just one, and at times it was easier, other times harder. Im now pregnant with my 2nd and really want to try breast feeding this time. Goodluck to you amd congratulations on twins!
I Hear Le leche League Is A Great Resource For Bf. I Did Not Have Great Success WithMy Daughter Breastfeeding But Dint FindOut About This Organization Until Later. I Have Not ContactedThem Myself.
Im in australia. They have lactation consultants etc, but theyre few and far between where i am. For the first month, itll be okay cause my partner will be home and then mum will be with me. Its after that, that im worried im not gonna cope.
Its so hard to decide. ):
That would be the case if you were bottle feeding as well though? There is no harm in giving it a try and if its not for you change? Im in the UK and we have great support workers for bf. Do you have anything like that where you are? X
My other consern is that by feeding one at a time, the other baby will get into the routine of being fed later then the baby that gets fed first, it also scares me by feeding both at once, one needs burping i have to juggle both.
I so badly wanna bf, but im worried about not coping
You're also very early. Why don't you consider trying to breastfeed both and if you can't, then switch to bottle. Some women plan to bf, then after baby is born, they realize it's not for them. And congrats on the twins. That's exciting.
The way I see it, breastfeeding twins seems way easier than bottle feeding. There's nothing to prepare, wash, or sterilize. The milk is always ready. But I don't have twins so I can't speak from experience.
I am a ftm with just 1 though and very much want to breast feed. I have a close friend who bf her twins and said it was much easier than when they went onto bottle. Harder to feed 2 with bottles more washing up etc. Good luck x
