So my son is 3 weeks tomorrow, my husband gave him a bottle last night and he took it no problem. This morning he is back to breastfeeding with no issues :)
This happened to my brother and his wife they ended up having to put the breast milk into a sippy cup in order for me to baby sit so that he would still get food because he refused to take a bottle and for some reason took the sippy cup.
Some babies get nipple confusion, though. It can mess with breastfeeding if they have any trouble latching.
I just had my baby and I feel like I'm not producing much and im still in the hospital so for a little snack i fed him some formula or you could pump and feed them bottle. He's only two days old and adjusts to bottles and nipples very well. I think you could pretty much introduce them whenever
We introduced the pacifier at 2 weeks...he's almost 3 weeks now, hopefully he takes to it well because it would be really stressful not to be able to bottle feed. What did you do??
It was horrible because it made it very hard to go anywhere without her. She took to the best very well and we didn't use a pacifier, I did wait till she was almost 2Mon to try the bottle but no matter which one we tried she would hunger strike if I didn't breast feed. Good luck and I guess I will have to try earlier I guess.
I heard between 2-4 weeks. I've never heard of this happening. I was debating introducing a bottle today and now I think I might...
