Oh crap, dont stress too much either!! I know I said it really affected me and my daughter from just the excess smell of it but my daughter is perfectly healthy! The placenta wasn't in good condition but it was way better then myself touching any cigarette, your baby will be okay! Just take matters into ur own hands and get fresh air as much as possible. I hope Ididnt freak you out I was just sharing my experience but baby should be okay :)
Thats so frustrating! My partner smokes but he stays away from me while his having one 'cause I can't stand the smell as soon as I hit 6 wks pregnant. He always stands about 3+ meters away from me every time he has one, when our first was born the doctor who was examining my placenta actually asked if I was a smoker because the state of the placenta was fairly poor and looked just like a full time smokers. I was 6 days late so that didn't help the placenta look any better but it really does affect the baby and you. If his ignoring your wishes I would try taking him to adoctors appointment and make them explain to him how bad it is. Otherwise maybe hide in the toilet while his having one, but try get him out side smoking, 'cause just the smell on my partner affected me and our baby. Best of luck, I know its hard to make them understand, it really hit my partner only after knowing what it had done.
My family is very inconsiderate. The only ppl I have support from is my bestfriend, boyfriend and his side of the family. I don't have time to stress. I'm to focus on my baby and school. I just wanted him to know it bothers me badly but I think it's solved because another cigarette hasn't been smoked around me so I'm happy lol!!!!
Honestly he's being very careless, 2nd & also 3rd hand smoke can be just as harmful as smoking itself. & he needs to understand & realize its his grandson/granddaughter that he could be hurting. I would ask him to smoke outside of the house period. Hes the grandpa he should be more considerant.
Lol that's exactly what happen today. I asked nicely but that was the last time. When I asked him he said I needed to get checked out something is wrong with me which really struck a nerve. I was rude but very respectful. I couldn't take it anymore...thanks ladies
I know the feeling my fiancee smokes ciggs and I have the same reaction it makes me sick..he's learned by now that I'm not playing about staying away from me with the smoke.its irritating as hell but there just stuck in there ways.once he saw what happens when he smokes around me I'm sure he don't want to see it again lol.maybe that'll do the trick.or you can keep air freshener near you when he comes out.
Not following, well Idk but everywhere I go he ends up there and he's always smoking a damn cigarette it's urking my nerves. And I will be moving like a month after my baby comes, I don't really want to stress myself with apartment hunting. I have a lot going on already.
Is he really following you? That's kind of weird and if so I'd definitely tell him to stop. Just ask him if he can please not smoke around you. That's all you can do. If he doesnt, if you can, just move out. If not, I guess just try to keep your distance..
It's also my home. I'm paying bills which is why it's even harder to not be so rude. I feel like he should have much more respect, even when I go somewhere else it's like he follows me.
Thats a tough situation id go to a different area if he doesn't stay away from u... also if its his home not much u can do.. telling your parents not to do something isnt easy because they wont or dont have to listen to u.
