Irritated! Kinda long sorry!

Sorry to rant just don't have any friends in my new state yet so i need  someone to listen! My husband is 90% perfect! (For me at least) but he dips and I can't stand it I tried making him quit but that just made him lie and dip behind my back and I absolutely cannot tolerate that! But now he is going through a can a day it's already ruined his teeth and the last thing I want is for him to get mouth cancer or something and I don't want it around the baby because he tends to leave his cans and spit bottles laying wherever and god forbid the baby get ahold of that!!! I'm so frustrated with him about this and honestly it's his only imperfection in my opinion I love him but I so wish he would just give it up!

I HATED when my husband dipped with my first. He came home one time with dip and he never does it so I dont know why he did it then. I got pissed and threw it at one of our friends and said here have a blast. My husband was like whatever and didnt care. He quit smoking before we met (started talking over facebook through a hook up from family) because he knew I didn't smoke.

Thanks ladies we talked about it and have decided it's best he only does it at work it's so nice to have people who don't know anything except what they have read give you advice with no judgement where I'm from your weird if you don't dip so no one would understand my problem!! You all have been a huge help and it's nice to know someone is listening!!

I finally gave up on trying to make my hubby quit. Like I said, it's never around me, so I just ignore it. You can't make someone stop being addicted to something as much as you may want to, but a compromise for baby's sake should be possible.

Those are great ideas lady's thanks so much I hope we can find a compromise he just got a new job and will be away a lot as it is so maybe a work only situation is what we can do because it scares me to think of the harm to the baby my parents smoked heavily during and after pregnancy and it cause me to have asthma and I dint want that for my baby

I think dip is more addicting than smoking... I'm not sure. Just what I've heard. One I know about my husband is when I got on him about smoking it didn't do anything. He had to be the one to cut down. And he has cut down so much! Instead of showing how annoyed I am when he smokes, I tell him how proud I am when he doesn't. I do tell him he stinks when he has smoked. Or I tell our daughter to "tell daddy he smells icky".

I understand. My hubby smokes. He smoked when we met, quit before we got married and then started up again. Then we found out we were expecting our little girl. I talked to him about my concern for the baby's health if daddy is always smoking and he cut way back. He never smokes at home or in front of our daughter, just at work. Maybe add a compromise your hubby could have a dip and spit station in one area of the house away from the baby.

I am in the same boat! I told my husband that he needs to quit when the baby comes and I kinda thought I was being hard on him so I told him he can only do it at work. He has a stressful job so he uses that to cope. I figured its a start!
