I took my prenatel and about 30 min after I threw up everything. Do I need to take another prenatel or am I okay?

Thank you ladies. :) i'm always worrying about baby getting all the nutrients possible. My pregnancy with my daughter I was never sick. It was bliss. This is my second pregnancy im 8w2d and am seriously sick day in day out all 24 hours. I usually eat before taking the vitamin and sometimes its hours after before im sick and I figure i've already absorbed the vitamin. This was the first time so soon after. And was just curious. Thank you all again. :)

ya i wouldnt retake it, just like the prev post said you cant guarantee it came up to and even tho its a vitamin its still considered a drug and too much of certain ones can be harmful...  missing pills ocasionally wont hurt anything but if it becomes a habit that this occurs then definitely you need to change when its taken or what its taken with to prevent possibly throwing it up... good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

Since you can't be certain the prenatal came up too, I'd probably just skip today and try again tomorrow. I'm not sure if it's possible to overdose yourself on vitamins, but I know missing one day won't hurt your baby. But my doc says if you have trouble keeping them down, she recommends you take them at night before you go to bed, when you're less likely to have trouble.

It probably isn't the pill so much. I don't know when you take it but if not at night I would try it. My pills made me sick for the longest time so now I keep them on my night stand and right as I'm going to bed I take it.
