Does my boyfriend have to shave his beard?

I'm 37 weeks and our baby girl will be here any week now. People keep saying my bf has to shave his facial hair (cause he has alot of it) because it may irritate her face when he kisses her. He said of course he'll make the sacrifice to do it but he doesn't want to lol. Anyone know about the men shaving rule??

No he doesn't need to. If he does he's probably going to have to shave constantly because when it starts to grow back it will be prickly and that will irritate the skin. It's probably better that he doesn't

My husband has alot of facial hair and he said he wouldn't shave his so I guess its just up to your boo!

My husband has a beard and he had the entire time I have known him we have 2 little boys and I have never heard anything like this. We have never had a problem with it.What I would do if I were him is wait until after baby is born and see if it does irritate baby. If b it doesn't I don't see any reason why he would have to

It doesn't matter if he has facial hair. But what I can say about it is when my son was born my dad would kiss on him and he would get red bumps all over his face but they went away within a hour it was minor irritation my son also has sensitive skin.

It definitely irritates their skin, but as long as he isn't like nuzzling her with it she should be okay with just kisses. Its really up to him..

Ever since I was a baby my dad has a beard and it did irritate my face but he never shaved it. My boyfriend has a beard and that irritates me also. But my skin is really sensitive. Wait and see if it irritates it or not. It never irritated my brothers skin.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. No he does not have to shave haha. Just warn him the baby will pull it and it will hurt(babies have ninja grip)
