getting induced

So I'm 38wks due in 12 days went thru my whole pregnancy just fine no type of contractions yet either. So I'm assuming he won't come until 40wks exactly. But I'm wondering if I'm 40wks can I tell them to induce me? I really dnt wanna go past 40wks

Yes they will discuss indicing you shortly they set up an apt at the hospital for the day your being induced . In order for you to try to help your labor move along your body & baby have to be ready , walking deff works to move baby down further and into position . When I was 40  weeks I gave in and did castor oil. Some people swear by it & some don't . Some people suggest eating spicy foods . You can also have a membrane sweep and that may start to cause slight contractions . Done by your ob .

I had my 38w app today and told my doctor I wanted him no later than 2 days after my dd. She said we will do everything to make sure he will be here. She made me 1 cm today and 50%... I guess I wasn't close until she did it
