If you supplement with formula it can reduce your supply because your body thinks baby is cutting feedings out. Its best to pump extra milk for when your away that way ur supply stays up. Good luck
My sister did both with all 3 of her kids. I dont see why its a problem. As long as he mostly is getting breastmilk since its better for him i dont see why not.
I supplemented with my first and it was hard on her tummy. She couldn't digest it and she had nipple confusion as well…if I were you I would pump and store and that way you will have the milk on hand if you were in a hurry :)
You're little one may have some tummy troubles cause there are soo many different formulas out there to choose from. Pick up some mylacon to send with just in case. he'll either drink it or not but he wont starve and you can nurse when you pick him up.
Yes you can but maybe not the first month. Baby might have nipples confusion plus skipping any feeding will affect your milk supply. You can always pump if you can't be there to breast feed and have someone else give it to baby in a bottle, given the baby have no issue going back and fore between your breast and the bottle. And give the bottle when baby is sleepy so they don't fight too much. Every baby is different but I know plenty of woman who formula feed ( by baby sitter of course) when they are at work and bf the rest of the day.
I don't think its that yu can't but I would think it would be hard on a babies tummy to switch it up all the time
Yea i mean I'll pump but if for some reason I can't or in a hurry or something. I've had people tell me I straight up can't do it and was never given an answer to why.
If you're able to pump and stock up that would be better, but of course you can supplement with formula when you need too. No one can tell you you cant. It wont hurt him switching back and forth.
I don't think it's recommended...would yu be able to pump?
