Nothing hard core (crunches of any sort), but workouts that engage your core for balance and stability are okay (yoga, tai chi, Pilates, etc...) and were actually reccomended for me. I didn't do them because I felt like a hippo, and my abdominal wall has since torn from lack of, well...anything. Right above my belly button it's bruised and you can feel an indentation where the sides have separated from each other. I'm now going to have to modify my workouts that much more so that I can strengthen my core again for my post baby body :-/ I wouldn't go all out, but I wouldn't completely ignore your abs either.
Abs are a no no later because your muscles are stretched and thinner so more easily damaged. You can do permanent damage by working abs after you have a belly...
I know crunches are a no no...I think that you can still do gentle modified planks though, especially when your early. I'm sure there's guidelines online.
Thanks, yeah I'll definitely ask. But yeah little weights I do for now, I cant let my girls (my arms) go anywhere lol they're my babies!
Yes....you're gonna need to hold off on that while pregnant. Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
I don't think so, but I'd ask your doctor. I know you can workout everything else.
