Me and DH met at the the nightclub Graham Central Station (dont know if any1 has that club in their area). His best friend was my co-worker and he said he was heading over there and asked me and my GF if we wanted to go so we said sure. The thing about this is i was working at this place for 6 months and was in training for 2 months and my DH's best friend was in my training group he was the only guy so i kept saying whose that wierd guy who never talks lol!! but after the training was done we were assigned our desk in alphabetical order by last name so i had to sit by him and my friend stuck in the middle so it was all fate that lead me to my DH.  Ok bk to the club my and my friend we walking around for like an hr and didnt find the friend till 30 mins till closing so i said wheres your friend and he said over there well my dh was dancing w/some chick so i thought he was hooked up but he came over right after that and would some1 like to dance my "friends" said oh shes going lol thnx guys and from that moment we hit it off he kissed me the first 5 secs we were dancing we walked out together and been together ever since!! I tried not to like him i even tried breaking it off w/him but let me tell you can never deny your heart the person it loves!! We knew from the beginning we would get married but it took us a year and half b4 we finally tied the knot!! OH and met 04-30-05 so we just had our 3yrs since we met!!

My husband and I knew each other in high school, but he had a long time girlfriend. We used to flirt, but nothing beyond that. Years later I met this guy in a bar and we started talking, but we actually never went out, but we would meet at different nightclubs or bars and hang out. (Nothing ever happened). Well one night he said this "buddy" of his was in town from college and they were going to this bar and to meet them there. His "buddy" turned out to be what eventually would be my husband. We couldn't believe how each of us had changed and we talked all night long. I eventually went home and they stayed until who knows when. About a week later I ran into him while pumping gas and he asked me to follow him and his friend to some country bar. Country bars weren't my style, but he certainly was. LOL! So I decided to follow him and his friend. His friend kept asking the DJ to play "the Dance" by Garth Brooks, but hours went by and the song never played. His friend said I'm going to ask one more time and then we'll go home and jokingly my future husband said "Rob, if they play that song I'll ask her to marry me right now!" I just laughed and his friend ran off to the DJ booth. My future husband and I talked for a while longer and the next song was "the dance". My husband took me on the dance floor, got on one knee and asked me to marry him. We laughed about it, but about two years later he asked for real. We started dating in 1994, got engaged in 1996 and got married on May 16th 1998. We're about to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary. I'm really lucky and blessed to have found the right one. We have a 28 month old little boy and a little girl on the way and we're as happy today as we were then...just with a little more gray hair. LOL!

Awee.. I love to hear all of your stories :o)

Me and my boyfriend actually met at work of all places... We actually started out talking about our b/fs and girlfriends... neither of us were very happy so we would vent to each other about what was going on and things.. then we started to go to lunch together everyday.. we would hang out after work just to talk.. it was such a relief to find someone who knew what I was going through. And then he had to go away with his girl for the weekend to a wedding for their mutal friend.. He text me the whole time saying "How he wished I was there" and then I got a call at 4 oclock in the morning it was Matt saying he left the wedding and was headed home.. and I asked why and he said because all he could think about while he was there was me.. and he couldnt go another minute without seeing me :o)  Needless to say we both got rid of our unhappy relationships and got together on April 28th, 2007 and we just celebrated our 1 year anniversary ... and we have a baby girl on the way in late june early july :o)

Annie- I love your story. Its so sweet. COngrats to you and your friends.

Luv2be- I like your story. Not many people have stories like that, so you saying at least you have a story fits well. Sorry you didnt get your dream wedding.

I think I would have been more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt at my first wedding. I was huge. I gained 63 pounds with my first daughter, and half of that was water retention, so you can imagine how badly I ballooned all over. Lol!!! I am grateful I get another chance at it though. I finally found someone I can see myself with for the rest of my life.

Well we aren't married yet, but close enough

I met him just causally chatting online in a room for my area - we chatted online for a while before I gave him my number - then we did the phone thing for a while - and he wanted to meet me - a true blind date - no pics were exchanged.  So after making him wait for us to meet for like a month I agreed to meet him.  I was so nervous and disclosed to this a close friend of mine.  She wouldn't let me go alone naturally in case this guy wasn't who he claimed to be.  The night we were to meet I was so nervous and excited at the same time.  We decided to meet at the most public place I could come up which as a club.  When my friend and I arrived we were both delighted to see he had the same idea and had a friend with him too.  When I first laid eyes on him, he smiled at me and I melted right then and there.  I just knew in my heart he was the one and not one word had been exchanged between us yet.  We talked, danced, and shot pool and darts and at the end of the night we hugged.  We also couldn't seem to find our friends, so we went looking for them, and caught them kissing.  So all in all everyone one that night.  That was 5 years ago - almost 6 (will be 6 in July) and it will be just as long for our friends as well.

OH MY GOODNESS that sounds just like my wedding day! pshh its supposed to be the best day of your life mine was horrible!!! haha first i didnt even know we were getting married the next day, we were in the middle of PLANNING an actual wedding. so we were up talking late late that night, till about 3:30 am and then he wakes me up early the next morning 7:00 am and says get out of bed, come on. and i was grumpy. i didnt even question what it was all about because i was so tired. so i drank coffee and he just kept looking at me telling me am i almost done. and i was like" no randy, im never done. im tired! why did you wake me up? and he was like "we have stuff to do today" and i was like whatever he always says that i have about three hours to stretch and yawn and take a shower and get ready... so anyway we were on base and he decided to go get breakfast and told me to come and i was like NO im taking a shower and he said theres no time they will stop serving breakfast, so i threw on some jeans and a hoodie and put my hair in a bun i wasnt too happy about it either, i had a rip in my jeans and i dont like to go ANYWHERE looking the way i did, even the galley. sooo we went to the galley and i had eggs that gave me bad bowel problems lol and then he drove us to the JP where he said "we were getting hitched that day" and i said RANDY I PUT $200 DOWN ON A DRESS WHAT ABOUT OUR WEDDING!!!!!! but he was already driving there and he was like I KNOW BUT ITS BEST TO DO THIS BEFORE WE SPEND ANY MORE THAN THAT and i was like what a jerk! haha i want to marry you but i look like junk and i am cranky and dirty so just turn around. well he wouldnt. then we spent the next 30 minutes arguing about directions, and which building and what room in which building etc etc etc. and they guys room was decorated in plastic pink flamingos??? and his vows were extremely corny and didnt sound a think like me and randy, so i was laughing the whole time and he forgot his ring.

but i guess it not the wedding that counts lol at least we have a story!

Wow, everybodies stories are so sweet. I love to hear all the mushy details. Not only that but its good for us to remenisce about the good stuff and make ourselves think about the things that made us fall in love in the first place. :-) I can say that I love my fiance' with all my heart and soul, and more so than I thought I would ever love anyone. We have our ups and downs, but he is the most wonderful man I have ever met. He has a good heart and a great personality. His morals and ethics are indescribable, and I love him for everything he is and wants to be.

i met my FH at the bar...LOL...allow me to clarify :)

we were at a mutual friends birthday party. anyway, he seemed interested in me, but shy at the same time so i was unsure and let it go and contiuned to enjoy myself at the party. well when it came time to leave i couldnt really walk let alone drive so adam (FH) carried me to his car and drove me to my friends house and was there to hold my hair back while i threw up. i was so embarrased! i thought for sure any attractiveness he held towards me was gone! he ended up calling me a few days later to ask how i was doing and wanted to know if i wanted to get some lunch and we've been together ever since...from day one he was my night in shining armour looking out for me and continues to do so to this day :)

blind date at 16 set up by my friend barbara who was ALWAYS setting me up on these double dates with really ugly guys because she was afraid to be by herself on a date... and of course no consideration was put into my dates lol. i didnt care i wasnt interested in dating i just went along for her. but once she actually brought along her bf's cousin who was cute cute cute. and very shy! he didnt talk to me that whole date, and i accidentally flicked a cigarette ash in his eye trying to get it out the window. i thought he hated me. but he got my # from barbara and called me the very next day, never said he liked me, he just wanted to hang out, said he was "bored".  haha so we hung out for about a week and slowly he started talking to me, we were very attracted to each other from the start. he was always over my house after work (construction) all dirty and *blushes* omg. i just liked everything about him he worked hard, he was sweet, and he did whatever i told him lol. finally one day our friend asked if we were dating and since he never officially asked me i didnt know but he said "yes" without a moments hesitation. since then we have been the tasha/randy phenomenon! had our ups and downs but we are a funny couple. we used to fight like an old couple when we were just 16 and 19 and our friends loved it, we just pick at each other. hes no longer shy around me though! and he rarely EVER does what i say haha

wow all of you have really long stories lol.....My bf and i met when we were 14. We dated for about 3 months then i broke his heart :( we broke up. He was devestated and didnt talk to me for almost 3 years!! we we're bestfriends! We started talking again when i was 17 and i thought i was "in love" We became so close when i was dating my ex. That at one point he actually cried to me on web cam saying how much he loved me and how he was in love with me. At 17!! I didnt beleive it and decided being bestfriends was better then bf and gf. Well i went through some messy relationships and realized i liked him alot but didnt want to ruin the friendship. After my last relationship i had nowhere to live so my bf said i could stay with him. I moved in to his moms place with him and we satrted dating. I was soo silly all these years because what i really wanted was right in front of my face since i was wee little. We have been together 6 months now but friends for life. I love him to death!

My best friend and I followed him. LOL.....as absurd as it sounds. I was just starting me senior year in high school and turning 17 that weekend. We just wanted to see who drove that lifted truck. Our town is extremely small....so everyone knows everyone, and we hadn't seen him before. Well when he stopped at the gas station so did we....however he knew that we had been following him....and got out of his truck and walked right up to my window and told me that if I was going to follow him then he at least deserved my phone number out of it. Needless to say I was mortified. But I gave him the number....we went on our first date the following week...dinner and a movie. He bossed me around the whole time (jokingly of course).....LOL....and it was exactly what I needed. He was 19 and I thought the greatest thing since sliced bread! :)
We became a couple November 17, 2001, we got married July 30, 2005 and will hopefully have a baby by Nov-Dev of this year. We've made all of our dreams come true together...supported eachother all through college and into our chosen fields of work, but most imortantly we've built a wonderful life together, He is my best friend & he absolutely adores me....I couldn't ask for more.
Well except to make it through this pregnancy...LOL. :)

DH and I happened to meet at a Church Lockin for NewYear's 2003. I wasn't gonna go, but decided to when friends invited me to. (I'd only been in cali for about 8 months) and this was just a couple months after I turned 16.

I saw him there and he had this read sweatshirt hoody on. Me never being the shy one yelled "hey guy in the red jacket"... We slowly began talking a little and my friend kept talking to him asking if he thought I was cute and to ask me out... so on.

At the end of the night (around 5am) my friend runs up to me and says "he's gonna ask you out, you BETTER say yes!"... then he walks up and mumbles.. "mu goutwme??".. I said "sure if your asking me out, yes." and laughed at him!

We broke up 1X for 2 weeks after 9 mo. of dating because he wanted to "play the field".. he decided I was better.. and asked me back out. After long hard thought we got back together. He proposed on our 3 yr anniversary at Black Angus with the ring in icecream on top of a HUGE brownie. The plate had "marry me?" written around the edges in fudge.mmm (it was a week after because I had been in OK visiting my dad). all the waiters/tresses were clapping and whistling and taking pics!

Now we're married going on 3 years (4 days before DS is due!)..
that's my story, lol

Just because you eloped doesnt make you a lunatic. Now, marrying my ex husband when I was 6 days over due pregnant and having to wear a black velvet dress at my first wedding, I think that made me a lunatic. Lol!!!!

Wow, that is the sweetest most romantic and cute story I have ever heard. :-)

Okay, the short version of my story is as follows:

I was dating my (now) fiance's best friend. We would all hang out together at the bar I worked at where I dj'd karaoke then we would all go back to my place, hang out, talk, laugh, and then crash at like 4 in the morning.
Well, my boyfriend at the time, Zack, went out of town to work with his dad for about a week and a half, and I decided I wanted to break up with him because he was too immature. He was also 7 years younger than me, and acted like it. He was too materialistic, immature, and errogant. Anyways, one night while he was out of town I invited his best friend, Marc, to hang out with me at the bar while I worked. He agreed to come since he didnt have any other plans. I wanted to talk to him about how to break the news to Zack that I was breaking up with him, since he knew him better than I did. So we talked at the bar about it, and I decided to wait til Zack got back into town because I didnt want to break up with him over the phone.
Well....I invited Marc back to my place that night so he didnt have to drive because he had a bit too much to drink to drive. He came back, and we have been together ever since. We fell in love that night, and are now engaged and due to have our little bundle of joy the week before September 17th. :-)
P.S. I ended up having to break up with Zack on the phone because he knew something was not right when I didnt answer the phone or call him back every time he called. I didnt want to lead him on to think that everything was okay, so I was avoiding some of his calls.
Was that completely wrong.

I was flying to Madrid with my mom and brother to see my grandma and I was a couple of rows ahead of where my mom was sitting.  This hot tall guy walks by and give me "the look" and I got completely shy.  Anyway so my mom was sitting in the middle row next to the isle and he was sitting on the window seat on her same row and the isle seat next to him was empty so my mom saw him and she started screaming to move back there and sit next to him (which was across the isle from my mom) I looked back and saw him sitting there and I totally paniched and I was like "No way, ma!" and she kept insisting and to avoid any more embarrassment I sat next to him.  Then my mom goes (in Spanish) "Offer him some gum" and I was mortified cause I thought that he spoke Spoke Spanish and he heard my mom, so with my beet red face I asked him in English "Do you Speak Spanish or English?"  and he said "No!" and I said "well, no what!?" and he said "Oh no Spanish" so with a sigh of relief I offered him gum and we started talking and talking and talking, so we talked the whole 9 hours (it was sooo cute and sweet) he didn't let me nap or watch the movie, every time I would sort of doze off he would ask me something.  Then he pulled out his CD player and we shared ear phones.  Oh god it was sooo sweet.  So anyway he was going to another city but he was going to spend the day before his flight back in Madrid so he asked me to go to a museum with him so I gave him my grandma's phone #.  When I got to my grandma's that night my mom said "You are going to marry that guy"  of course I didn't believe her.
Anyway, he called me that day that we were going to the Museum and he was going to be late.  So he asked me to go to Dinner with him.  so I met him in the city at 7:30pm and we had the most wonderful date I've ever had and I just knew that I was going to know him forever.  I went back home at 4am!
We lived long distance but we got engaged 6 months later and married a year later.  That was 7 1/2 years ago and now we're ttc!
I left out a lot of silly details but everytime I think of it my heart just melts again and again and again.

My DH and I met actually in Kuwait. We are both in the military, and were at the tent to hang out at and play pool and cards and what not. I actually knew one of his friends before him, and we taught my DH how to play. We stayed up all night playing pool, and he kept calling me babe. It was surprising how comfortable it was then. That was in February of 2007. I left Kuwait in September and he didn't leave until October. He came back here to Oklahoma and I came to visit and we got married October 25, 2007. We are now expecting our first child together in January of 2009!
