That story makes the whole thing more beautiful! Just a side note, my grandmother has always said Cardinals are good luck...I'm almost 27 and I still get excited every time I see one lol
Martikdragoon... you are on the right track!! When Cooper was in PICU the nurses left his sound machine on the birds all the time, they swore he loved it!! During his stay in the hospital they also had to put IV's in his head, so they shaved part of his hair, so we decided to put his hair in a mowhawk. Well, the day after Cooper returned to heaven, when I came home there was a Cardinal sitting in the yard ( a bird with a mowhak), so I knew from that very minute, that Cooper had never left me. The cardinal stays in our yard all the time. We even set up a bird bath and bird feeder for the cardinal and we call it "Cooper's Corner". I like to go sit out there and talk to Cooper!! So, that is the story in a nut shell.
The tattoo is on the lower right side of my back, just above my panty line. I love it so much!!! Thanks for being so excited with me ladies!!!!
I think it's because when he was at the hospital they had birdies playing in the nicu or something like that... At least that's what I remember from her other post
what a beautiful job... I love it too... im so glad it all came together for you. Isnt it wonderful having him right there (even if he's being a busy angel at the time) proudly on you back. I love it Rachel.... So glad you got to do that for yourself... xoxo
Wow...it looks great, and as martikadragoon mentioned, it is a beautiful memorial!
I was wondering the same thing as bts....where is it, and what does the cardinal stand for?
Congrats! I think it's a BEAUTIFUL momento/memorial!!!!
I think it is beautiful! I also have a tattoo for my daughter who passed away, mine is just her name on the underside of my wrist. I also have my oldest son's name on the top of the same wrist. I have Aidens name on the back of my neck, and I plan on having Conners footprint tattooed on the top of my right foot and his name under it.
I love your tattoo though, is it on your back? And what does the cardinal stand for?
