I need to vent.. some people are soo rude

I understand its the 4th of july and fireworks go along with that but Aubree finally has laid down for the day and I am soo unbelievably tired and my neighbors are out there setting off fireworks and shooting off guns ( its what they do here in pa) I went out and said can you please keep it down my baby is only 4 weeks old and shes sleeping.... they said ok now its an hour and half later and they are still doing it and its scaring aubree soo bad shes bawling her eyes out .. I mean the fireworks are sooo loud... ARghhh im sitting here crying right along with aubree cus I just dont know what to do

Fireworks are legal in the county here in mobile, al but not guns stray bullets could kill someone

I hate rude neighbors, I have set on one side of me...everything else is perfect about my house, yard, land but THEM!  I pray everyday they will move or have their house foreclosed or something!  Now, that isn't a real solution to the problem so I do call the cops and it seems to put them at bay for awhile =)  I'd definitely call the cops...like you said the gun thing is probably like a one time deal or 13 times tops (like they used to do at original celebrations) and then that's that!  I'm guessing home fireworks are legal in your area too?  They are illegal in MA so luckily if they are such a nuissance and someone calls, you'll get in trouble.  Good luck!  Hopefully they got it all out of their system and they'll be done for the rest of the holiday weekend (wishful thinking!)

If you cant do anything about it, or the cops wont do anything, take your baby out (like to close friends & family places) and maybe it'll be quieter there than at home.

Call the police. You should have a noise ordinance in your area. It may not kick in until 10:30 PM, just depends on where you live. Tell the police dispatcher that you already asked them politely to keep it down and they disregarded your wish. You have a newborn!!!

I was actually getting really irritated just a bit ago (taking a break from painting my daughter's room) and people have ENORMOUS fireworks that are loud. They'll go off all weekend long... *SIGH*

You were absolutely in the right.  It is just common courtesy to respect your next door neighbor.  Especially knowing you have a young baby.  That is just disgusting of them.  I would've called the cops as well.  If they don't stop then do it.  Your daughter comes first and it would break my heart to see my child that upset over something that can be controlled by these people.

ur allowed to shoot guns? i live in the allentown/bethlehem/easton areas of PA and that is illegal here. if you call the police they should come out and warn the neighbors to quiet down and if not they can issue a distruding the peace sitation...i know b/c i got one a few years ago doing the same thing with my brothers LOL!

for some stupid reason we are aloud to shoot off guns for the fourth here in pa... at least in my town we are.... but I did go over again and tell them noi more guns cus I dont think you are aloud to keep shooting them I think its like a one time thing or something and I got kind of mean with them but you know what I tried to be nice and they just werent listening and I have to do whats best for Aubree and not worry if I hurt their feelings

i have a nextdoor neighbor. and shes got this guy who comes by to see her on one of the loudest motorcyles you could ever want to hear. and i swear, everytime dommy gets to sleep his guy comes down the street parks right outside my window (which my rooms next to dommy) and leaves his bike running. its so loud and always wakes dommy up. hes getting a tooth in and has been EXTRA fussy so when i can actually get him down im so so happy. so i feel for you!
