P.S. I took an Intelligender test which said BOY but I do have high testosterone so that could influence the test result.
I think boy... 50/50 lol
I'll find out the gender Tuesday (26th)... two intelligenders have said boy.. we will see lol
LOL! Yes 50/50! The wait is agonizing. I don't know how women waited before technology but I guess that is just what they had to do. Part of me would love a surprise baby but only if I already had one of each gender at least, you know? It would just be amazing.
Right now I'm loving the name Liam Isaac for a boy. For a girl I love Brianna Sue (Sue is after my mom's middle name; she passed away in 2004) but DH hates that one. We'll talk more about names after we find out the gender. Can't wait!!!
Im leaning towards a boy because you said your belly is shaped more like a ball than a watermelon, I know when I was preggo with my boys (4) I had beautiful skin so I for one wouldn't use that as a factor....
Is your belly sitting high or low???
I said boy. Just a gut feeling ever since I heard you were preggo!! I hope you get that boy! :)
I am gonna say girl... just because everything is leaning torwards boy and is so different than the other pregnancies, everyone is going to say boy... so... im gonna go the other way... but i do wish you get that boy... even though i personally would rather have 4 girls than one boy alone lol... but thats just me.. i have an urge to dress little girls up with everything i wish i could wear myself lol!!!
I think boy, the main reason is my complextion has been terrible this time with a boy x
I say boy. A mother always knows...
I said boy based on a few things
1) some of the symptoms you listed
2) it was my first thought
3) it appears to be "boy" season - if you have ever noticed it tends to alternate here on medhelp. One group will be having mostly girls, then once they all give birth the next group tends to be having all boys. My group was the last group and we were all girls, so now it's time for some Boys :)
4) I have a friend who has several girls and finally is getting a boy-I had a feeling she was gonna have a boy too
We'll see who's right :)
Idk. With Lexi my belly was basketball shaped, I broke out bad in the third and first trimesters, I wanted beef andi never eat beef. I had hyperemesis until after I delivered her as well. I was also convinced I was having a boy bc of the dreams I was having. lol.
At the risk of being wrong, I'm going with Team Pink!
You're right Cass...my group was all boys, then you guys were all girls (our boys need wives someday after all, LOL) and so now tis the season for boys....
With Kahlan I had a basketball, with Grey it was a watermelon...both times my skin was clear and both times I puked like it was going out of style...I swore that Grey was goin to be a girl because the pregnancies started out so similarly.
Every time I make a guess about my own babies I'm wrong lol.
For you though...I say, boy!
I say boy just from experience because boys tend to make you crave more greasier and saltier foods which comes out in your skin (i.e chips, fries, deep fried chicken, and more). I have had one boy who is almost 2 and I have another one on the way and is due in July. My cravings have been out of wack too but just going by experience both boys tended to crave greasy foods more with the odd kick of sugar sometimes. My pregnancies have been watermelon shaped but that don't really mean anything to me because I am more of a heavier set person so it could be just my fat too. Plus if boys were dominant in both sides when your parents were having children usually it will alternate the next generation down.
I'm going to say boy, I felt all those ways when I was pregnant for my son who is almost two and i'm again that way with this pregnancy which is another boy due July...I broke out really bad with both of my boys but has the nicest skin when I was pregnant with my daughter...and I was more round with my boys then I was my daughter...But it's hard to say as you know haha...But i'm going to go with boy :)
I wish I could give you something here but I had almost all same symptoms with my son and now having a girl. Complextion was clear, basketball with both, sick until 5 1/2 months with both, more tired at end with girl, no cravings with either, can't eat chicken at all with this girl, chinese calendar said boy for me but it is a girl, breasts were more tender with girl for me, and I was told by the dr that after having 3 girls the chances of a boy are very slim. I hope it is a boy if that is what you are hoping for though!!!
I know what you mean! If we had a boy we would most likely try for another boy so he'd have a brother. My husband grew up with two brothers and theirs just no relationship on earth like brotherhood.
I am saying boy! I have 2 and with both my skin was BEAUTIFUL and I normally have occasional breakouts! I Loved chicken with my last DS, I think I ate it everyday!!! hated sweets in general with both.
I think I should do a giveaway for the gender guesses. Like if the baby is a girl choose a winner (at random) for those who voted girl and likewise if baby is a boy to choose a winner from those voting for a boy. Hmmmmmmm... I might do that on my giveaway blog though and not here but all welcome to come over.
Right now I'm giving away an Intelligender! It says it ended on the 16th but I extended it so more people would enter:

Not sure when I'll pick the winner for that. Now to decide what to giveaway if I do the gender giveaway thing!
I say boy. Did you think girl with your girls? I was wrong both times with my kids, first instinct was the opposite so I think when I do TTC number three that I'm gonna say it's the opposite of my first instincts. I personally don't trust the Intelligender or any of the old wives tales, simply because they've been proven wrong at one time or other. But like Chantal I've thought boy with you from the beginning, and to date it's weird but I can usually guess what someone's having. I'm not saying I'm psychic or anything because I don't believe in them, but I just have a feeling or I'll open a gender post and think boy or girl before it opens and it is what I was thinking. But I say boy. I haven't been wrong yet even with friends.
BTW, cute idea for telling them what the gender is!
I agree, the cupcake idea is REALLY cute. I may have to "borrow" that idea if I ever get pregnant again :)
okay I went against everyone eles and said girl, but only cause im always wrong, lol! So it will probably be a boy:) Good luck Joy, I cant wait to hear how the cupcakes go!!!
I say boy because that is what I want you to have!
Someone asked me somewhere, probably on my blog, if I knew what my other girls were before they were born. I do NOT remember what I thought before I had Elaina; I don't remember thinking one thing or another. With Abigail I thought boy but it was more of a guess than instinct; I went back-and-forth with her. With Zoë I KNEW she was a girl from the start. So did DH. So I guess the more kids I have the better my instincts get?! LOL!
