Ice cravings!!!

i crave ice all day long. i think i have even made myself believe that ice helps me through my contractions. so my question is : does ice help with contractions? i think Im also going through a "pica" phase were i wanted to taste powder laundry detergent. ewww..i know what you're probably thinking. no i haven't eaten any, i know it isn't healthy to eat that.

I've been tested for anemia and my levels are normal.

I eat ice all day, everyday. To the point where it gets on my husbands nerves. When my Glucose Test results came back though, they did say I had very low Iron. Now I'm on an Iron supplement but I still eat ice all the time.

i go to the doctor Monday. I'll have him check my iron levels to make sure everything is ok. thanks ladies...78 more days to go.

Be careful eating lots of ice it can be a sign that your iron is low b/c me and my mom both use to eat a whole bag of ice in one day and it was b/c our iron was low so be careful

Im not a fan of ice however with this pregnancy the past 3 weeks I've been eating 2-3 cups every other day..i try to watch how much ice i do eat.

I've always been a chewing ice kinda person popsicles are a good substitute they're still crunchy but they have flavor lol as far as helping contractions idk if they do or not I do know when you go into laborhere they give you ice chips instead of water and you get water after

i think its the pica thing!! just b careful ice could mess up ure teeth with time my mother in law n cuzin did that during n after pregnancy n well lets just say the both need a lot of dental repair my Mother in laws teeth are messsed up from a combo of the ice n smoking
