Preparing for baby?

Hey ladies. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and was wondering what are some things I can do or make for the baby? I can't start the nursery yet and I don't know the gender. I was thinking knitting some baby hats or something? Any ideas????what have u guys done?

We have gotten some basic things we have the crib and mattress a carrier a rocker chair things we could get that didn't matter so much on gender.  I am 11 weeks right now.  We are waiting for alot of the rest for when we find out :) right now we are focusing on saving money for when we find out and for me to take time off after the baby is born.

I just started to make him a baby blanket with Mink Material and Flannel Material. I will then start to decorate the bassinet with giraffe print like the sheet and a ribbon around ect. I also wanted to start doing all the crib bedding but i dont think ill make it so i guess ill buy one.

I'm 22 weeks and I'm quilting a blanket its got animals on it so its unisex

Stocking up on diapers and wipes!!!! LOL. And getting little baby things I know ill need. ( lotion, soaps, etc..)
